Privacy policy

This explains what Joshua Carter ("Loopfinch," "we") collects when you use this website, join the early access list, try the live demo, or ask for a free shadow report, and what we do with it. We've tried to keep it short and plain.

It covers the website and those offers. When Loopfinch becomes a service you can sign up for, we'll add what it handles and publish an update first.

What we collect

  • Early access signup. Your email address, and anything else you choose to tell us: company, role, what your AI agents do, and whether you'd like a free shadow report. We also record when you signed up and which link code you arrived through, if any.
  • Website activity. Anonymous daily counts, such as visits, demo plays, and signups, grouped by link code. These counts don't include your name, email address, or IP address, and we don't use cookies. The link code is kept in your browser tab only until you close it.
  • Your IP address. We hold it in memory for a short time to limit abuse, such as many signups from one place. We don't save it to our database. Our hosting provider may keep ordinary server logs that include IP addresses.
  • The live demo. When you use "Try your own," the choices you pick (an amount, a recipient, and so on) are checked by a decision model. In the chat ("Now try to trick it"), what you type is sent to an AI model provider to write the assistant's replies, and the actions the assistant tries are checked by the decision model. We don't save any of it, and we don't link it to you. Please don't type personal or confidential information into the demo.
  • Email. If you sign up, we send a confirmation and, later, updates about Loopfinch. Every email has an unsubscribe link. If you unsubscribe, we keep your email address on a do-not-email list so we don't write to you again.

Shadow reports

If you send us a log of your agents' past actions for a shadow report:

  • We use it only to make your report.
  • The log is read on one computer. Each action in it is sent to the decision model provider (TypeSafe) to be scored. Nothing else leaves that computer.
  • We delete your log when the report is done. We keep the finished report, and the data file behind it, for up to 90 days so we can answer your questions. Then we delete them, or sooner if you ask.
  • Please remove what you don't want to share before you send it, such as customer names, email addresses, and account numbers. Don't send passwords, payment card numbers, government ID numbers, or health information.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your information, and we don't share it for advertising. We use a few service providers to run Loopfinch, and they handle your information only to do their job for us:

  • A hosting provider (Render), which runs the website and stores the signup list.
  • An email delivery service, which sends our emails.
  • TypeSafe, whose decision model scores actions in the live demo and in shadow reports.
  • An AI model provider, which writes the replies in the chat demo.

We may also share information if the law requires it. These providers are based in the United States, so your information is processed there.

Ads

We may run ads on other sites. Today we don't put advertising trackers or pixels on this website. We only count visits by link code, as described above. If that changes, we'll say so here first.

How long we keep it

Signup details stay until you ask us to delete them. Anonymous activity counts are kept as long as they're useful. Shadow report logs and reports are handled as described above.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe from our emails at any time with the link in them.
  • Ask what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us at support@loopfinch.tech. We'll answer within 30 days.
  • If you live in California, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, you may have additional rights by law, including the right to object and to complain to your local regulator. We'll honor them.

Security

The website uses HTTPS. Access to the signup list is limited to the people who run Loopfinch, and unsubscribe links are stored only in a scrambled form. No system is perfectly secure, but we take care to protect what you give us.

Children

Loopfinch is for businesses. It isn't meant for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. For significant changes, we'll also email people on our list.
