Terms of use

These terms cover your use of the Loopfinch website, live demo, early access list, and free shadow reports, offered by Joshua Carter ("Loopfinch," "we"). By using them, you agree to these terms. If you're using them for a business, you're agreeing for that business, and you confirm you have the authority to do so. If you don't agree, please don't use them.
What we offer

- A place on our early access list.
- Free shadow reports: a report on what Loopfinch would have flagged in a log of your agents' past actions.
If we invite you to try Loopfinch itself, we'll either send you a written agreement or the terms in this page and the section on early access below will apply.
Early access
Anything we offer during early access is free, unfinished, and changing. It may have errors, it may change or stop at any time, and we make no promises about availability. Don't rely on it as your only safeguard. Give us feedback freely: you agree we can use any feedback or suggestions without owing you anything.
Shadow reports
- When you send us a log, you confirm you have the right to share it, and you agree that each action in it can be sent to our decision model provider (TypeSafe) to be scored. The privacy policy describes how we handle it.
- Please remove what you don't need to share. Don't send passwords, payment card numbers, government ID numbers, or health information.
- A report shows the judgment of automated checks on the log you gave us. It can flag things that were fine and miss things that weren't. It isn't a security audit, a legal or compliance opinion, or a promise about what Loopfinch would do in your live systems. You decide what to do about what it shows.
- You may use a report inside your organization and share it with your advisers. Please don't publish it without asking us.
What you agree not to do
- Type personal or confidential information into the live demo, or anything unlawful. You're welcome to try to trick the demo assistant, since that's what it's for, as long as you stay within these terms.
- Use automated tools to hammer the live demo or the signup form, or get around the limits on them.
- Probe, attack, or try to break into the website or our systems.
- Send us anything unlawful, or anything you don't have the right to share.
- Copy the website, our brand, or our software, except as the law allows.
Our property
The website, the Loopfinch name and logo, and the software and reports we make belong to us or our licensors. These terms don't give you ownership of any of them, only the rights described here. Your logs stay yours.
No warranty
Everything is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't promise that it will be accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free, or that it fits your particular needs. Decision models make mistakes. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Loopfinch and the people behind it won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of what we offer. Because these offers are free, our total liability for any claim is limited to $100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you in full.
Ending things
You can stop using Loopfinch at any time, and you can unsubscribe from our emails. We can change or stop anything we offer, or end your access, at any time. Sections that should survive, such as those on our property, no warranty, and limits on our liability, will survive.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date above, and for significant changes we'll also email people on our list. If you keep using Loopfinch after a change, you accept the new terms.
Governing law
The laws of the State of Michigan govern these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in that state, and you agree to their authority.
